Disney’s Dark Side

 

As​ ​it​ ​has​ ​been​ ​pointed​ ​out​ ​time​ ​and​ ​time​ ​again,​ ​Disney​ ​has​ ​a​ ​darker​ ​side​ ​that​ ​isn’t​ ​quite as apparent​ ​as​ ​the​ ​brightly​ ​animated​ ​stories​ ​that​ ​have​ ​won​ ​us​ ​over​ ​time​ ​and​ ​time​ ​again.​ ​It’s important​ ​to​ ​note​ ​that​ ​while​ ​Disney​ ​has​ ​taken​ ​a​ ​“happily​ ​ever​ ​after”​ ​approach​ ​to​ ​all​ ​of​ ​its​ ​films, many​ ​of​ ​the​ ​stories​ ​originated​ ​from​ ​dark​ ​and​ ​disturbing​ ​fairy​ ​tales​ ​that​ ​came​ ​about​ ​in​ ​the​ ​16th and​ ​17th​ ​(if​ ​not​ ​earlier)​ ​centuries.​ ​But​ ​here​ ​at​ ​Bippity​ ​Boppity​ ​Magic​ ​Hour,​ ​we​ ​like​ ​to​ ​dig​ ​a​ ​little deeper​ ​and​ ​unveil​ ​what’s​ ​under​ ​the​ ​surface​ ​of​ ​Disney’s​ ​happy​ ​stories.​ ​We​ ​have​ ​9​ ​Disney movies​ ​that​ ​have​ ​won​ ​over​ ​the​ ​hearts​ ​of​ ​children​ ​through​ ​the​ ​illusion​ ​of​ ​innocent​ ​stories.

Keeping up with the Mouses

The title of our show is more of a joke from our episode than informative…but we’re back!!! Abby and Sarah had to take a short hiatus to get some things taken care of…like traveling back home from a year in England and selling a house… And this week we’re taking the full magical hour to tell you about all the news that happened while we were out, and boy is there a lot!
